Leica D-Lux 4 Review - CrunchGear
The Leica D-Lux 4 is a 10.1 megapixel point and shoot camera with a Leica DC Vario-Summicron f2-2.8 zoom lens. Another area that separates it is the 24-60mm that can get those wide shots. You'll even find all manual exposure control as well as a manual focus mode for those wanting more control than automatic, shutter or aperture priority. Even with a built-in flash there's a hot shoe. Plus, the D-Lux 4 can capture 720p HD Video. In the end it's the quality of the images that make this one stand out.
"The D-LUX 4 is a gateway drug and anyone who has used an M8 will attest that when you use Leica glass on a Leica body you get some amazing shots. That said, the D-LUX 4 is an excellent second point-and-shoot and is great for grabbing hard to frame shots that other point-and-shoots would completely destroy."

Pictures of your dog or cat if done right inspires exclamations of praise and encouragement's to "enter that picture in a contest"!
Digital photography has taken over as the main photographic method today. Ironically, go back just a few short years and most of us were shooting film, buying film, developing film, and getting prints for all out efforts.
