Rumor has it there is a new Nikon advertising campaign about to kick off. Nikon is done with the “I Am Nikon” campaign according to the word on the street (which, by the way, I thought was a quite a good campaign considering advertising has never been one of Nikon’s strong points).
So, what does this mean?
Well, I’d say all those Nikon announcements we’ve been waiting on are that much closer.
The Nikon D7000 should be announced VERY soon. The D90, while a great camera (Lord knows I LOVE mine), is getting long in the tooth in DSLR time. Bring on the D7000!
The Nikon D900 should be announced soon too. Maybe not before the D7000, but I expect it to be announced this year. Bring on the D900!
The Nikon D4000 announcement is over-due!!! The D3000 is VERY long in the tooth in relation to it’s tech specs. Nikon really needs to play catch up here. The D4000 needs to be AT LEAST 12 megapixels, and it wouldn’t hurt to have 1080 HD video (something that I think will pretty much be standard on ALL DSLR bodies soon).
So, the two big Nikon DSLR announcements I expect to hear any day now are the D7000 and the D4000. The D900 will come soon too, but likely at a later time and date than the D7000 and D4000 announcements.
I’ll be picking up a D7000 the day it hits the shelf in my local camera store. Are you reading this Mark? LOL
