Canon EOS 60D… a 7D Killer?

The 60D is rumored to be replacing the Canon EOS 50D soon!  The general consensus seems to be that it will have the 7D’s 18MP sensor and a new 11pt AF system.

Sounds almost too good to be true.

Begs the question though… will the 7D be able to survive the introduction of such a closely spec’d little brother?

For me, a 60D with those specs holds much more interest than the 7D, especially when you figure you could get a pair of 60D’s for not much more than the 7D if Canon stays consistent with their pricing.

Indeed, the 60D may be a 7D sales killer if the rumored specs are true… unless of course the 7D MkII is right around the corner.   Hmmm… now what changes would be seeing in a 7D MkII?

  2. Between me and my wife we’ve had more electronic cameras over the months than I can remember, including many different Canons, Sonys, Samsungs and many more models. However, the last few weeks I’ve settled down to one line of devices. Why? Because I was happy to take take notice of how well-designed and enjoyable the often overlooked (and widely mocked) Canon EOS Rebel T2 actually is. With it I have been able to take the most great photos. That’s all I wanted to say, hope you have a wonderful day and make sure to take some stunning photos!

  3. The Canon EOS 50D looks really like a great camera. Until now I found a lot of good reviews about it. Are there any alternatives for beginners which are a little cheaper?
