Is Robert Capa’s Photo of the Falling Soldier Really a Fake?

The controversy over Robert Capa’s Falling Soldier photograph continues. The famous shot showing a Spanish soldier captured at the very moment of his death is no stranger to controversy. So-called new evidence claims that the image was faked. Recently, we spoke with a professional photographer and educator from Spain during a visit to the United States about this. While he is working on his own response to this we were told that it is his belief that this particular Capa image is authentic. He explained that having served his own time previously in the Spanish army as well as being an expert in photography that his stands behind the image as being the real thing.
