Re: WFT-E2 help required (an oft heard cry)

There is an interesting video page here

Canon : FTP mode settings and automatic image transfer | WFT-E2/E2A

I have a pdf of the manual that I must have downloaded from Canon somewhere. I can't remember where that was, so I have put you a copy here .....

(Removed)

I am pretty sure that it is available for open distribution, but to be on the safe side, if you could let me know when you have it Paul, I will take it down.

Re: WFT-E2 help required (an oft heard cry)

I just got mine in, and I feel your pain. Im still trying to get it to work too. does not want to connect to either of the computers, 1 xp 1 using vista. ARGH!!!!

As far as the manual, its on the cd that came with it. I have the file, and will be happy to send it if you need it, just let me know with an email address.

Yah so if anyone has suggstions on the set up of it, let me know as well.

Did you get yours to work over your wireless network? Im still working on that part even. they dont want to communicate yet.

Thanks

Kevin

Re: WFT-E2 help required (an oft heard cry)

After reading through the manual and Canon's statements about the network being operational, I would suggest that you try setting up your laptop as a wireless client and make sure you have the network operating correctly. It sounds like from here that the problem lies in the network setup and until you can access the network with your laptop you won't know it the network is correct. A program that will help is network stumbler. ( networkstumbler.com ) I'm in San Jose, Ca, Not sure where you are located, but you should be able to find a local tech who can setup the network correctly.

Re: WFT-E2 help required (an oft heard cry)

Not sure if this helps. There was a firmware update for the WTF-E2 in October, and I also found someone on another site who did get it working.
