WFT-E2 help required

I have just purchased the WFT-E2 for my MK3 and I cannot pair the unit with my windows Toshiba tecra M4 tablet with built in wireless. I am able to pair it via my network/access point to my home PC and works like a charm. Somehow I cannot see the notebook in my MK3 and my notebook cannot see my MK3. There is something about I need create an ad hoc wireless profile or something. Would be much appreciated if someone could help me

Re: WFT-E2 help required

I have mine on order. Good Luck with getting it to work. I have seen it working a few times and its great. I am hoping I can use it on some of the Shy Moose we have at our garden, as well as for the nesting of a new pair of bald eagles. Please let me know what you find out.

Thanks

Kevin

Finally a response . I got mine going Kevin and this unit is just awesome. I had to set my notebook to ad hoc before it works. I can take pictures and it automatically downloads to my notebook in seconds or alternatively I can take pitures and focus from my computer. Nevertheless it is only a toy to mre athe moment

Perry, thanks for the info. Yah its a toy for most people I think, but if you can find a good way to use a toy it becomes a huge asset. I will have to try the ad hoc setting when I get it. I think a lot of the Canon Mark 3 users dont even know about it yet. Thats one of the problems, and the WFT E2A is almost as hard to get as a the Mark III to use it on is still. Thanks a ton.

Re: WFT-E2 help required

I'm just about to buy the unit.

So I don't waste time linking it to my laptop could someone explain where the 'ad hoc' setting needs to be made, please?

Rgds
