Todd, if you don't mind saying, what is your application for the WT-3?

Re: Nikon WT-3

We'll I already own the D2X with the W1-A and although its great I'm hopeing the range would've been improved on the D200 and the WT-3 Plus its LESS WEIGHT.

Re: Nikon WT-3

Any sign of it yet ? Does anyone have one of these yet ?

Finding any meaningful info on this unit is really hard work...

Can anyone give me an idea as to what the transfer rate is ? E.g. how long would it take to transfer a (say) 'Fine' jpeg from camera to computer ?

Re: Nikon WT-3

There's a link near the top of this thread to the manual.

B&H lists them at $600, though they are out of stock right now. I think Glazer's in Seattle has some in for about $675.

They are available, however they've been in very short supply so getting your hands on one is still a good amount of work at this juncture. I've got a couple of dozen users that I've walked through setting it up so far, and most of them have indicated that it took a bit of hunting to get.

I haven't had enough time with one to do any formal speed tests with it as of yet, however they should be roughly the same as the WT-2. While I could give some rough numbers off of the top of my head, I did some formal tests with that transmitter and I'll pull out my notes and put the numbers up (I might as well add it to the Wiki as well) as soon as I get a chance.
