Thanks for the nice outdoor example shots. They all look good. It's great to have such a wide range of tools we can use.

You comment: "The camera had difficulty conducting a measurement when was aimed at the scene you see. Had to move it off to the side in order for camera to lock in a good reading."

So, just what was it that you thought you were measuring?

Re: New TEST perfromed

Doug,

I took all readings aimed at the subject from the camera position.

When I aimed it at the subject (what you see pictured), I kept getting no good on the LCD. Meaning, bad reading.

I had to turn to the right or left (more shaded area) to get it to say good.

It's odd, I don't know if it's because it's center-weighted it was doing this or what?

Looking at the lensflare, (no hood used), my last tests revealed a better shot was made when you took a reading with the hood off, then replaced it for the capture, you can see I was in some harsh harsh light. I did this on purpose of course.

Oh, and I don't know if you can put a meter on there or what to tell the difference between them. That'd be cool. Feel free to do anything you want with/ to the images.

You can save them right off the site.

I will mention that when comparing the warm ColorRight to the neutral, I appeared to be getting a reading of plus 100K. Sometimes 200.

Took some quick shots in the office last night. Reading on the CR neutral was 2600K, warm was 2700-2800K. Just FYI. That is one thing I really like about the Sony. It gives you the actual K number.
