My Tests of the ColorRight

I compare a couple of different WB tools, including the CR. Just a fun little project I did.

That link doesn't work for me.

That's much better. Thanks.

Will you be telling us what technique you used in making your white balance measurements with these various diffusers?

Perhaps you made the measurement from the camera position (that is, where the camera would be for the shot). If so, was the background of your "mini-studio" essentially neutral?

Thanks.

Best regards,

Doug

All measurements were taken from the camera position.

Meaning "the camera position for the actual shot(s)".

I use that seemingly-tedious definition since all diffuser measurements are taken from the camera position (wherever that is at the time!). (There's no need to use the tedious name all the time - I'm just being anal here.)

Thanks.

Best regards,

Doug

Re: My Tests of the ColorRight

Measurements taken from the camera. What I mean is, camera stayed in one place. So did I. With the camera. At tripod location. I placed the diffuser over the lens to take the measurement, keeping the lens pointed at the subject. The camera didn't move from the position of lens at subject. All measurements were taken with lens pointed toward the subject, diffuser placed over it and camera remaining in same direction and location.

Do I make sense?

So, for what that's worth, I think we later refer to this as the short method. But, yeah...that's how they were done.
