"Center weighted" and "targeted"

Hi, Drew,

You basic announcement about the Color Parrot says:

"The White Reference Target is center-weighted to provide a more targeted reading."

Could you please tell us:

1. What "center weighted" means in this context ?

2. What "more targeted reading" means, and how the White Reference Target being center-weighted brings that about?

3. What is the significance of that to the performance of the Color Parrot?

Thanks.
