Wedding Album Layout & Design - Need Visual Stimulus!

OK, so I am a photographer, but this question comes more from the perspective of a client...I recently got married, and the photographer my wife and I hired did a pretty good job capturing the event as a whole...and at this point, I am now in the process of collaborating with him on putting together the wedding album...

I was hoping that some of you could recommend a couple of great websites that shows the inner pages (layout and design) of some seriously beautiful wedding photo albums, from which I could get some ideas on things to incorporate into my own personal wedding photo album...

...and no, I am not some lame wedding photographer who has come to some sort of mental block and is looking to steal the ideas of others (my website is linked below, just to be clear about that)...but the fact remains that this sort of thing isn't my specialty and I was hoping to tap into any visual stimulus that you guys and girls can recommend?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

Re: Wedding Album Layout & Design - Need Visual Stimulus!

you're welcome to look at my serious beautiful designs
Depends on what you want. I like a lot of what yervant does, but my clients want more images in a book or more properly, won't pay for the number of pages i'd need to give them to his designs.
I don't work from templates- i find it restrictive and too much the same as everyone else.
I get a lot of compliments on my albums but I know it's not for everyone and some pages I like a lot better than some that just have to hold those specific images.

as to where else to send you to see samples...other than some yervant things (google a bit - he sells album software so samples are up there). I think asuka or white glove will have sample albums online too.

Re: Wedding Album Layout & Design - Need Visual Stimulus!

Fine book making is what I love best and what has brought me the most awards over the years. I find it helpful to keep a clip file of ideas and advertisements from magazines. Personalities of the client are always foremost: tailored or frou-frou, multi-layering or iconic, b/w, sepia, borders, handcolor - all these must relate to the couple. Bigger albums like 14 and 16" are most popular. Size and dimension of book will be suggested by the actual photo choices. Double page layouts give the most impact. Most of the templates or sties that design books are ok, but limiting and to me very generic. I can't see ever duplicating anything I design, and I'm often called on to re-design other photographers' work. Borders and backgrounds from Graphic Authority, OnOneSoftware (the best) and Ztampf are a great help. Facial retouching puts wedding images over the top. Search for the unique in each event or couple. I test many album companies regularly and currently find the very nicest quality and flexibility comes from Azura, Apollo Photoimagizing and Seldex (distributed by FINAO).
