Running a portrait studio isnt down to the size of your catchment area unless you plan on being a low end operation that will only work on a high volume of customers.
Ultimately it is down to who you target and how you market yourself, as some customers will travel many miles to a studio if that studio specialises or offers a good product for example, which sort of negates the question. Another very important point is whether the studio is a high street one or home based?
I would assume that Telford should be a good place for a studio due to the near proximity of Birmingham and Wolverhampton etc with their well paid commuters. A good indicator of the potential market is simply if Venture have a presence there. If you have one within 20 miles there is a market.
