| Re: Red Wine on Wed Dress My advice still stands from my first post with a small addition. My advice is based on what I would do in the same circumstances.
I would still retouch a few select proofs just to show her what can be done on the images.
If she wants retouching, then I would suggest that you tell het that your abilities & time available are not sufficient to do the job properly and that you will have to have a professional retoucher work on them. I'd suggest sending a few away now to 3 or 4 of the pro retouchers and get quotes. I personally would simply charge her your cost of retouching and not mark it up. I'd also tell her that's what you are doing.
The reason for this move is this: Often a Bride wants work done until they realize that there is a hefty cost to it. Often photographers feel sorry for the Bride and do the work for free or almost free. It is very likely that your Bride will only want a few select images retouched in the end if there is a fair and realistic cost to it. After all, the spill did occur and it's now part of her life story.
If I had the spare time, I'd do the retouching myself, it's not as complex as it appears, but if it were me, I would send it away. By farming it out, your time is kept to a minimal and you're simply passing along the appropriate cost.
There are plenty of good pro retouchers on-line that will be glad to give quotes. If you don't know of any (sorry I can't suggest any) then post here and someone will know. Some are sent to South America where they do a great job cheaper and some ore US based. Good luck.
If you still want to retouch yourself, my initial post is close. Reduce stain to minimal with magic wand, feather selection 3 pix, desat, lighten, then clone or cut & paste. You might try healing brush but I personally hate using it.
