| Re: Portable high key backgrounds? Picked up a Lastolite 6x7 foot H-Lite backdrop this week, so after shoveling the drive & before anyone could escape to school, I got my 1st shots. The pop up was easy to assemble, once the pups stopped barking at it. Here’s the set up: D300, Nikkor 50mm f/1.4, ISO 400, sp 60, f/5.6, on camera flash SB800 (iTTL) set for ceiling bounce, one slave SB600 on light stand stuck in the side aimed at the back for even bounce forward. So in a pinch, can I get away with one light or do we need the 2nd light on the other side? Sometimes I do find some shadows from the ceiling bounce that I think a 2nd SB600 would eliminate. My victims (as they refer to themselves) are between 2” – 18” in front of H-Lite. This is a fun backdrop & I think I could throw & drape a 10x20 (light material) over it as a quick change out. Possible applications are children, animals, portrait, high fashion etc but would this work with a bride? I need to torment my family some more & play with the lighting to get comfortable. Your Pro/Con Feedback is appreciated. Hhmm, 2 shepherds & both are camera shy. I am the older of the beasts. Here are a dozen of my 1st pics for view, Paul http://www.flickr.com/photos/bulmanp/sets/72157603915634879/show/
