Albums, Inc., Art Leather, Vision Art and occasionally, Pictage. All digital except a few remaining matted orders through Art Leather.

Hey,
How are you handling files with Graphi Studio? Are you sending the files and letting design the albums or are you desiging the albums your self, using some album design software?
Angel

Re: Album source recommendations?

It's been a while since I've posted here, but since I just received my first Graphi Studo books, I wanted to comment. (sorry, I know this thread is a few weeks old)
The books I just received, I designed myself and uploaded the files through Graphi's ftp site. Things went smoothly and I had the finished product in less than three weeks.

Re: Album source recommendations?

I've been having issues with GraphiStudio latley. My last book took 3 revisions (sending books back to Italy) to get them printed as I ordered. Ordered in February, got the finished product in May. Not a great lead time. They also just revised their price list, and changed a lot of cover options, some good and some bad. For example, now you can no longer get a leather cover with a die cut area for photo on it, only avaliable in leatherette. They also won't give you leather swatch samples (website is not updated either) so clients have to "guess" what their books will look like. If you didn't make it to WPPI, you're out of luck knowing what the new products look & feel like (or the old ones for that matter, still don't have cover samples of them unless I want to pay to have one made). Only good thing is now they offer lamination. But I'm pretty close to switching to PictoBooks or Zookbinders.
