Anybody interested in a psd. file exchange?

Whaddyathink? Do you think that we could create a psd file exchange for those of us who put our "storybook" layouts together in Photoshop. I think it would work if it was set up strictly as an exchange.

Re: Anybody interested in a psd. file exchange?

I think this is a good idea. The problem is mulit-layered .psd files are HUGE. It would very quickly bring the entire forum to a crawl if I allowed 500MB file uploads.

Another possibility is to have an action exhange for layouts. You would just need to record your actions as you create your templates. Then attach a screen shot of the final layout.

As an aside we could also have an action exchange for other types pf actions.

Of course, you would only be able to post non-copyrighted actions and layouts. Unless you own the copyright yourself.

What do you think?

I guess I haven't created actions while I have been creating my page layouts. This sounds like a good workaround for this though.

Will an empty layout with white boxes in the place of actual pictures be better? The PSD file will not be that large and then a small JPG sample of the finished page can be provided.

I was thinking that if the layouts were built using paths the files could be quite small and then enlarged to what ever size you wish with nice clean lines.

This is precisely what DigimatZ is, all the photographer/album designer has to do is click on the empty box with the Magic Want and paste the image into it.

Unfortunately; at the end of the day you have a templates page layout with no unique attributes.

I've considered this program because I thought it would be a quick start on a page which I could then add a few elements to customize. Any input on this method?
