Group Photo Outline

I have a client that I shot a reunion group photo for who asked me if it was possible to produce an outline image of the group. They want to place a number in each persons outline and then put the names that correspond to that person on a sheet of paper, so that they can know who everyone is.

Has anyone ever done this? If so, how? If not, does anyone have any ideas for a simple way to do this.

Thanks,

Re: Group Photo Outline

I'm assuming you have a digital image to work with.

The simplest way I know would be to create a new layer above your group image, make a selection around each person using the lasso tool (Wacom tablet would help here), then stroke the selection (Edit/Stroke).

Re: Group Photo Outline

Hey Ralph,

Fancy seeing you here. I usually run into you at the Miller's Lab Forum.

Yes, I have a digital file, but no Wacom tablet. The Trace Contour filter in PS almost gets it but not quite. I'll keep trying, but I still could use some ideas if anyone has any.
