wedding lighting setups...

i posted this in another forum but wanted you guys opinion...and this will prob get moved, but it really does deal with wedding and such...t
just doing some research on lighting for weddings...nothing in the immediate future, but I did just do one and was wondering if you guys that do them could offer suggestions on lighting setups and when needed and equipment needed for indoor weddings and outdoor.

I kinda figure to lights on 2 posts behind me and my 580 and go for it..hahaha...

Seriously, a basic setup, what would be required and where would you set the equipment up..I don't want to go into an elaborate 30 milliion dollar deal here....but just looking for guidance on lighting for the posed shots indoors and out...mainly indoors.

So lay it on me, what basic equipment can I get by with to get pleasing results and where should it be stationed?

Also, if using a lighting setup like you are going to recommend, is the 580 really necessary?

One other question...Is the 580ex IT for walking around shooting candids or is there another flash for the 1d mk II, that will Reeeeeeaaaaaach a bit further and is highly recommended? thanks...t
