Stained glass windows and ambient light problems

Here in the area where I live in Ireland, all of the churches have stained glass windows, because of this I cannot use ambient light( i tried it once and bride had a back eye before the honeymoon). Does anybody else suffer this problem. I have to use flash all of the time in church as thats the only light I can rely on to be unchanging

Re: Stained glass windows and ambient light problems

what do the stained glass windows have to do with anything...
see peterprior.com
or jeffascough.com
if you want to see ambient light from your side of the pond...both are quite proficient...

what system do you shoot with???

Brad if you use ambient light in a church with stained glass windows the bride comes out in at least six colours when the sun shines through the windows, I thought you would have known that

You have to use flash, but turn it down a bit so that it looks more natural.
