hey Ron, (and others)

I took the time to register here so that I could post this. I frequent many sites throughout the day, including this one, but, as a rule I don't usually post because of the time involved...I have a day job.

That being said, I am pretty new to the photog field, having shot kids sports for $ for about three years. Recently, I decided to really learn photography as a whole because I have enormous interest, and because I have come to learn that if it's worth doing, it is worth doing well. Portraiture is my main point of interest and has been for some time, and that's what I am studying/refining now.

Now to the basis for the post. I could not go another minute without saying "thank you" to you and the rest of the folks for what you have revealed to me, or, rather, what you have helped uncover in me. Kinda like the Michelangelo/David quote..."it was always there, I just uncovered it." (paraphrase)

You have helped me in more ways than I can count, and I am grateful. Your confidence, suggestions and encouragement mean a great deal to me here on this board and others.

MANY others have helped me also, please, please do not misunderstand this, and I thank you in the same vain. I have been following Ron at another board for awhile, and have seen some super egos nip at him...just wanted all to know that there ARE some lurkers willing to learn.

Joe.

Joe.

Thanks to the moderators of this site, it is a good place for constructive criticism without personal attacks.
