Monitor Recommendations?

I realized that this topic has been visited before but I can't find anything recent. And since I am considering an LCD monitor, I thought the most recent opinion would be helpful.

First, if I were to buy a CRT terminal (19") for use in precision digital photography what would you recommend?

Second, where are LCD monitors these days as far color accuracy is concerned?

Re: Monitor Recommendations?

One of our publications artists has tried two large Viewsonic monitors. The nicest word to describe them would be "crap."

Re: Monitor Recommendations?

Have been to several color management classes lately. The gurus Andrew Rodney (digitaldog.net) and Eddie Tapp (eddietapp.com) recommend the LCD monitor Macintosh 22" Cinema Display for those enlightened enough to use Apple and rich enough to afford it. :-)
