TurboFilter use?

Has anyone out there tried the TurboFilter system available from Calumet? It has been around for a few years and was curious about actual use or testimonies. Thanks for your time.

Looks pretty "gimmicky" to me.
1500.00 for a filter?

It's especially goofy if your shooting digital (which we assume since that is what this forum is).

With digital you have total control over sharp and diffuse areas by digitially editing the image. Certainly more productive than this monstrosity.
