What else will I need to use old Bogen flash

An old fellow I know has some bogens in his basement from the 60's (circa). He wants to sell them for $400 along with some umbrellas and stuff. I am wondering what else I will need to make them work with my E-10.

Will they work with the pre-flash? Will I have to go full manual? How do they hook into the camera if not slaves? Can I use them to help the f-40 and on camera flashes i us now?

Bogens from the 60's?
400 might be a bit steep, how many? what model? (stands too?)
I'd use a slave or IR trigger to trip the main, the others can be on slaves from the main.

Don't even think about it.
The color temperature would have to be terrible. Your prints would have to look wierd.
Old strobes have old wires too.....lots of electricity has to pass through there very fast to make the flash. Somethimes it comes through the insulation. Scary stuff Thngs are gettin' better. http://www.robertcummings.com
