I have been using my D30 for 5 months for portraits, indoor and outdoor. I use the Custom White Balance setting in studio with flash and a white card... I then set that into the camera in Menu and Custom WB setting. That for most cases sets the color for outside and inside, really. Then all colors are great.
I do get some reflections in the shadows, like outside from grass or a brightly colored dress-sometimes- but all you need to do is to go into Photoshop6 to the airbrush-hue-add some skin tone @ 4% and brush away the slight green cast to match the rest of the skin tone....
Then stay in the airbrush- do muliply-@4%-(which will darken slightly) and go over the entire shadow area to add deepth and color and it is done....All that takes about 2 minutes on a head and shoulder pose.........It is great, try it..
