Any references for a professional photo software

Hi,

does anyone knows or uses a professional software for PC which would allow the following features:
-keep track of a customer photo session
-allow batch image editing
-photo slideshow for the customer
-photo packaging output of selected session photo (optimized printing with combo of 4x6, 5x7, 8x10).
-text editing, special fx feature like background insertion for blue/green screen type of photo.

Any references would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris.

Re: Any references for a professional photo software

Hallo there !

I think that Photoshop 6.0 can do most of those things You want to have done. But I would get myself a filing program, like Filemaker Pro to keep track of things.
Good Luck !

Re: Any references for a professional photo software

I know that photoshop could do all of that but it's not that convenient when you are in a hurry and have the customer waiting for the pictures !

I just read in this forum about "Kodak portrait and more PC events" and it looks like more something that I am interested in. Anyone has any feedback on this product ?

Thanks,
Chris.

Chris,
The Kodak sofware is great stuff but there are two problems with it. It is very expensive at about $4000 and time-saving printing is limited to the Kodak dye-sub printers which run $5000 and up themselves.
If you have the work, it's definitely worth it. If you want to get it at almost free, there are some package deals out there including digital camera, printer and software... That is if your in the market.

Express Digital, Triprism, and Photoshop with a Packetizer Plug in from Plug in Systems.

No program has all what you want.

Re: Any references for a professional photo software

I use a Kodak DCS 520 tethered to a computer via firewire for portraits. The Software is Kodak PC PRO. The prints are made on a Kodak 8660 printer. I love it!!!! I got the whole system from E.Focus West in Costa Mesa CA. Contact Kevin Kilgore at 877-233-6287. Website is www.eventfocus.com. This will do everything you mentioned you wanted.
