Need help with flash for DCS 460

Ladies & Gentlemen,

I recently purchased a Kodak DCS 460 professional digital camera that I'd like to use with my Quantum Q-Flash, my Sunpak 511, and a set of Novatrons. I'm transitioning for the first time from an F3 to the 460 for portrait and tabletop work. I'm concerned about the damage I could cause to my camera by using the units without the proper protection.

What resources should I purchase, and/or what adjustment(s) do I make to use each of these flash units for portrait and studio applications?

Also, what Quantum flash units are compatible with the 460? I'm interested in buying an auxilary unit for fill flash unit in the field. Thanks to all!

Rick, Kapolei, HI

I have been using a Nikon SB24 with -3 EV flash compensation with some success on my 460. The Q flash doesn't have a compensation circuit so it will probably gossly over expose in the TTL mode. Manual and auto modes should work as well as they would on a regular Nikon 90S.

I have used the 460 with a T & T2 using the Nikon TTL off camera adapter which goes into the hotshoe and din plug into the back of the QFlash, with no problem. I don't really like this setup however, the flash is harsh and the whole mess weighs a ton. I prefer to use a radio sender on the camera and reciever on the QFlash or studio lights.
