Re: Portrait Photography

Ron -

That picture is gorgeous!

Please describe your lighting setup. I spent an hour or so tonight playing around with different setups, and am starting to get a feel for the options available.

It would be helpful to know the setup (the more detail the better) used for this beautiful shot.

Thanks.

Don

Re: Portrait Photography

Thanks Don and Walt. She was a doll.

Lighting setup for this was a medium soft box (about 36x44 inches) about 4 ft from the subject and a reflector fill... which I really kept far back because It's been giving me to much fill lately, so It's almost non exsistant. I also have a hair light also used in this from high up over head and behind. Thats it for this one, no backlight needed. ISO 100, 160th, F9 or 10.

Re: Portrait Photography

Great lighting and very angelic subject and outfit. Love the hat.

Thanks for giving the lighting setup.

Re: Portrait Photography

What a sweety!

Now that you have done this shot how big can you go with it? Is a 20x24 too big? I saw what you did with your wife's portrait (going to the thread Noel suggested at the beginning of this topic)so can you go that large with this?

Thanks Again,
Tom Coles

PS What lens were you using?

Because I am looking to use the D30 in the studio and out for portraiture the above questions become important.
