Re: Portrait Photography

If you are interested in the portrait side of digital photography, I recommend www.Pro4um.com. Since I discovered it, both this board and it have been every day reading for me. I gain a wealth of information from both. There is even a section dedicated to those of us who are going to shoot seniors digitally.

Re: Portrait Photography

Hi Tom,

I've been busy looking into the same thing.

A couple of people pointed me to:
http://www.zuga.net/zuga/home/ieset.htm

Browse around that site, there's quite a lot of information (including a 14-chapter online book) talking about portraits, lighting, etc. A *lot* of information.

Let me know if you find some other good ones.

Don

Re: Portrait Photography

Thanks for the link Don!

Really enjoying the site. Lots of good info on portraiture. Trying to round out my techniques into portraits. Although, I still really enjoy landscape and wildlife best. This excellant site looks like it explores all aspects of photography.

Re: Portrait Photography

Mr. Galbraith, YES YES YES, I agree, it would be great to have a "Pro-Digital Portrait" section with the D30.......

Let's do it !!!!!!!

Re: Portrait Photography

For those that have been contributing to this topic , I give a big thanks. The thread that Noel gave has been very good and I would recommend others to check it out.

Hey, Ron and Noel, are you actually printing images larger than 20x24 from the D30. What about a group shot of a large family for instance? How is the detail in the faces etc. Is Genuine Fractals required?

Thanks in advance,

Tom Coles
