I'm not sure what you mean by "reasonable price." I got one a few months ago, and for my purposes (softball and baseball) this lens is just about perfect. You'll have a hard time finding one in good condition for less than $4.5K. This is one sweet lens, there aren't very many out there, and they hold their value really well. You might be better off renting one if you can't afford to buy it. I rented (from Glazer's Camera in Seattle for $75/day) before I bought. A great way to test drive. Good luck, though.

I have one that I have not used since getting my Sigma 300-800. It will be the first lense mounted to my new D3, then I will decide whether to sell.
