Exclamation Help Sandisk Card Corrupt !!!!

Hi,
Came back from covering a wedding to find that one of my cards cannot be identified in camera or card reader.

How on earth do I recover this card? Have you any recommedended techniques or companies you recommend in the UK?

Here's hoping...

...no help out there?
Well I suppose it's an uncommon problem which gives me some hope for the future.

Hi John,

I've bookedmarked PhotoRescue in case I ever have this problem. I recall reading a positive article on it by a well known photographer, whom I can no longer recall.

PhotoRescue 3.0 main page

Good luck.

Best regards,
Kevin

But not readable

As far as my tests (3 types of recovery software) no program can help because the card is not visible either in pc (or mac) or camera. I've phoned two recovery places disklabs and Ontrack data recovery repectively £155 and £370- £470. How do I choose which one to go with???

John

Re: But not readable

You could try reformatting the card in the camera/computer (that's if the camera will let you - even if it cant' see it). You won't be erasing images, just the image addresses.

Re: But not readable

I thought of that but it worries me that I'll mess things up even more. Are you sure stuff won't be deleted?
