D100 & CF cards - I\'m taking the plunge!

(Also posted in the Nikon forum)
I'm taking the plunge and adding the D100 for my portrait work. As I get my "gear list" in order, I've read of some CF difficulties (e.g., Lexar WA), so could you with experience point me in the right direction for CF cards? And, add any thoughts on those "essentials" I'll need.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry
