problem with Lexar 24X WA card

I've recently had two of these cards crap out on me. Both were pretty much brand new. Lost a few assignments. Couldnt save the images. Had problems getting the Lexar Image rescue to work. Tried reformatting, but the camera would freeze up whth the card inserted. Using a Sandisk reader the computer said the card wasnt readable. The first time it happened the card was readable, but there was nothing on it. Anyone else have problems with these cards? Both times its happened to me I was using a Nikon D1. And I know I had the best basketball shot of my life on the card that died on me tonight.

Hi, I dont own a D1 (have D1H) so don't know if there are any compatibility problems with D1.

However Lexar offer support on this card. If you cant get the rescue software to work and you do have an important shot I believe you'll be able to get them to extract the info for you.

give them a shout.

For future refernce do you do an in camera format each time you load a new card? This can certainly help prevent these types of problems.
