Maria Sharipova tennis pics

I had an opportunity to shoot at the Bausch and Lomb Championship last week at Amelia Island, won by Maria Sharapova. I posed some photos from her match vs Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain from in the quarter finals Thursday April 10th in my pbase gallery. If anyone would like to have a look, a link is below.

I think it's pretty amazing that she still looks good after over 2 hours of smashing the ball around.

Nice stuff!!, I've got a corporate tennis event to do soon myself. Not specifically to do tennis shots but I will have some opportunity to do some of the tennis action while there.

What sort of setup are you using for this, lens body etc, what sorts of Iso's and settings.

It's always nice to see pics of her, she's a very graceful athlete, but it would be nice to learn a bit from your thoughts as to how you achieved these shots.

Excellent work.

My favorite aspects of your images:

1. The look of exertion and concentration on her face.
2. Shots with her completely off the ground.
3. Shots with the ball in them.
4. How different she looks when relaxed than when blasting an ace serve.

Great technicals by the way - all are beautifully exposed, with great color, and excellent motion-freeze.
