| Re: T&I - Time needed to shoot 350 kids? We do a 4-6 yr old soccer league of 700 in that exact time, however, we've been doing them for 20 years and have it down pat and have 3 cameras working. We like to allow 15 minutes per team if there is one photographer, but usually need less.
If you are working as the only photographer, I would have one helper pushing paper and one setting up the groups. I prefer to have separate cameras for sure and avoid changing settings. If you have one helper gathering the group together, separating them into one row of taller and one row of shorter and getting them posed, ready for you to shoot, things will go a whole lot smoother.
The biggest issue is having a few coaches squawk that they are missing players and they want you to wait. The extra helper is good for this. We simply tell the coach to shout when everyone is there, or some have to leave. I do not need to keep one team's individuals and team shot together in a sequence and that is a huge help for us.
