Re: auto ISO?????

I just got back from a workshop with Kevin Kubota and one of his first tips was to use auto ISO with the D3. For what its worth. This is for wedding shooters mostly who move fast and need to catch shots when they are happening. I looked for this feature on my MK3 but I wasn't sure if what I found was really auto ISO. Terry

Re: auto ISO?????

late in chiming in since I recently joined,,

I use auto ISO anytime I am inside a gym shooting the grandkids sports,, I have an Oly E3 and I usually have it set to float between 100 and 1600,,

have forgot to change and had it on outside which is fine as I usually shoot in M mode with the selected speed I need to freeze the action shots I am seeking,, the ISO (if bright) will be down around the 100 area anyway where I would have set it to begin,,

is really an excellent feature and I doubt I would buy another camera not offering such,, it gives the camera latitude but also forces it to use the lowest ISO you have dialed in,,
