safari 4.0 acting up

on my macbook pro safari 4.0 is acting odd.. all fonts change size (smaller) as if the zoom out is being engaged randomly a few times while surfing a few pages. is this a bug...

also sometimes the page automatically scrolls down..this could be me not being fully used to the new trackpad. is there any setting to prohibit this...

thanks

Re: safari 4.0 acting up

I wonder if maybe you're running into some gestural behaviors that are confusing you? If you use two fingers at the same time on the track pad, you'll scroll the Safari window (if it's long enough to scroll in the first place). If you make a pinching motion with two fingers (dragging two fingers together or apart), you'll zoom the contents of the Safari window (same as holding COMMAND and tapping the "=" and "-" keys). If you look in the System Preferences, you'll find a Trackpad settings panel with more information.

Two-fingered scrolling is probably the one you should want to keep around. I haven't found much use for the pinch behavior on the Mac—that's great for the iPhone, but it's perhaps too clunky on a laptop.

Re: safari 4.0 acting up

i think its due to accidental pinches that causes the zoom...but i cant recreate it when i try to trouble shoot. havent used PS much, see how it does there with the new keypad.

how does an external mouse work with the new laptop...any difference coming from the G4s...

An external mouse works like an external mouse. All USB mice I know of "just work" when you plug them in. I recommend steering clear of "bluetooth" mice, due to latency. If you want cordless, then stick with conventional USB radio mice.
