I am going to re-post this. My original posting had to do with the Radio Shack pop ups appearing in member postings. I cancelled my original posting on this subject because when I went back in on various postings, the pop up were gone. They now have appeared again. These ads are annoying. I was under the impression that such ads would only appear in the border, i.e. to the right of the screen. Whats up? Thanks.
Ron

I also have not noticed any pop-ups. I am aware of the ads on the sides, as well as, the radioshack ad on the "home" page above the recent topics section. If you use firefox, try the extension adblock. Another great extension is noscript. The combo works wonders.
I just saw a half a popup with Internet Explorer - that is a popup with broken content - when I enabled Active Scripting in the Internet Zone. I have some other settings, e.g., ActiveX, disabled in the Internet Zone, which is probably why it was not filled-in.
I have not seen one without this setting enabled, even though I've set Drew's site to Trusted, in which scripting will run.
The way I understand most ad insertion, the ad company sells you a script which you paste into a space reserved for ads in your web page. Thus, Drew may not have control over what shows in that space; it's controlled by the ad seller.
I think that I was getting those periodic Radio Shack pop up ads in the posting section because I was not logged in. When I leave this site, I do not log out and when I return, I am usually still logged in. For some reason my computer is logging me out each time I leave. I apologize for any confusion.

+1
You'd be surprised how useful this combination is, just about everywhere.
It gives you control back that has gradually been stolen by clever scripts over the last few years.
Mike.
