The New 5:4 Format!

I think the 5:4 will not happen except for the medium format because there is something like 47 million pictures taken every day, and if you go to Costco or Sam's club or Walmart and look at their photo departments and they are cranking out shots like crazy and guess what, they are 4x6 which happens to be 24x36 exactly no way Canon will change that for 10k pros, look at TV sets they are going to the movie 16:9 format which is similar to APS (remember that?) the camera companies tried to get people to buy into that which had multiple formats including a 16:9 panoramic and they couldn't, which is probably one reason why the camera companies didn't switch formats when they went to digital.

11x17 spreads fits the 24x36mm quite nicely where 5:4 does not fit that at all...

I'm thinking only cell phone cameras, and medium format will be 5:4 sorry....
