Wow, check out the noise levels at 800 ISO - amazing. Maybe not as good as the Canon but fairly close and way better than any other Nikon camera - barely different than the 400 image. And the light fall off in the full frame sensor is quite noticable compared to the DX Nikon sensor. Nikon might ahve been right about it's sensor size. Woohoo....kudos Nikon.

I am sorry but he did non convinced me at all about the Hi ISO noise.
My new D2x seems worst about the noise at ISO 800, than my 3-4 years old D1x, no matter if you use Noise Reduction or not.
I strongly suggest to do yor test for your needs. I don't think that a snow panorama during the day is a corect way to test high ISO noise, don't you think ? Woud't be better an indoor shoot ?
This is my first day with my D2x so I'm not ready for conclusion but this test is too far from my impressions.
I realy hope I am wrong .... it's just my first day with a new camera.
