The comparison to the 1Ds2 doesn't include identical shots & is therefore pretty much useless. Stand in one spot, use equivalent "normal" lenses (50mm on 1Ds2, 35mm on D2x), shoot ISO 100 @ f/8 & then compare.
And you pixel-peepers, don't forget to resize the smaller file to that of the larger before checking details. And sharpen both.

I also want to see the distortion caused by using 1.5x wider lenses to capture the same composition. There are many advantages to FF cameras & I'm probably never going smaller than 35mm again, but I'm keeping an open mind & still own a bag full of Nikkors.
