Great optics, strong as hell, cheap to buy

Heavy, no AF-S, push/pull zooming causes problems

I used one of these lenses for almost 10 years, and it performed like a trooper. The auto focus is next to useless, but it manaually focuses fine. The push pull zoom causes all the screws and fitting to loosen up, and by the time I retired the lens, it had a definate sag at the front of it.
