| Bridge: RAW and TIFF file display differences… There is a quirk in the way Bridge displays RAW and TIFF files…
I have been photographing a motorcycle a lot over the last couple of months. When comparing the TIFF output from either ACR or PS with the source RAW file (adjusted in ACR) there is a difference in the way the specular highlights (such as you get when photographing chromed things) are displayed.
The RAW files show these highlights much more prominently than the TIFF files when viewed in Bridge.
When the TIFF is opened in PS and set to Actual Pixels and compared side-by-side with the RAW-ACR file also at 100% there is no difference. So the actual image has not been modified (which was my fear before checking side-by-side at 100%) but rather it is in the …what, jpeg image saved inside the TIFF files?
