Re: Canon DPP Update

I'm sorry to hear that the updated verion doesn't work well on the Mac.

For what it's worth I just downloaded and installed the update for PC. Seems to work just fine on my XP x64 system.

Seems to me a rebuttal PC vs. Mac commercial is in order (opposed to Mac vs. PC).

PC: "Hello, I'm a PC" Mac: "...And I'm a Mac"

PC: "Why so glum, Mac?"

Mac: "Well, all the commercials notwithstanding, it seems you run graphics software better than I do. When did THAT happen?"

PC: "There there. Don't let it get to you. You're still better at... Well... I don't know what you're better at. Making YouTube videos maybe?"

Sorry, Mac users. Been taking jabs so long I just couldn't resist.

-Noel

Re: Canon DPP Update

DPP version 3.4.1 does work well on my MacPro running Leopard. The added lens correction filter with chromatic aberration adjustment is a nice feature. The updated EOS utility restored the tethering function that apparently was corrupted with OSX10.5 update (works with my 1Ds anyway).

Noel, have you seen the latest Mac vs PC commercial with the cheerleaders?

PC is (still) #2

Re: Canon DPP Update

Glad to hear it's working for you Jerry. I'm waiting for a few more positive reports before I try it. I've seen a few people reporting problems.

Re: Canon DPP Update

If you have Time Machine set up and running in Leopard, you should have no fear of installing the DPP update. One of the great features of TM is the ability to restore one program or just one file if needed without having to go through a full system restore.

Re: Canon DPP Update

I had a previous version of the Canon DPP software screw up my operating system. Either that, or it was an odd coincidence. Since Capture One works fine, I'm in no big hurry.

Noel, you're not gonna get a rise out of Jerry. He's too cool.
