understanding RAW files
I'm looking for recommendations on books/online resources that would help me understand the process of working with RAW files.

Seeing as I still have CS2, would I be correct in assuming the CS2 version of this book is still recommended? What level of user is the book aimed at?

You should be able to find the CS2 version. Bruce Fraser has a writing style that is easy to understand, but the book is chock full of detail on the how and why of raw processing. It's aimed at anyone who requires the best possible image quality and workflow.

I would also recommend his book Real World Photoshop CS2, if that's what you have.
