A 5-pack for Pro used to refer to the limited time offer C1 had if you bought or upgraded to
C1 PRO--you'd get 5 new version upgrades if you bought it. So far, it's been a great deal; I've been using C1 Pro since early 2004 and I haven't paid for an upgrade (and I still have 4 to go).
The C1 PRo multi-user *site* license is a site license. I'm not sure you can break it across multiple single machines (it might be network administered).
In any case, I wouldn't say at all that LE and PRO are 99% the same. That's just not true.
If you need tethered shooting in studio or on location, or a color editor to match your AD's expectations, or the ability to output more than one file type for different workflows (like a mix if JPEGs and TIFFs in different color spaces like Web, RGB print and CMYK print--all at once), or the ability to work with n-up previews, then I think Pro is well worth the money and quite a different beast than LE.
It all depends on your workflow.
But absolutely yes--get Magne's camera profiles for C1 if you get either C1 Pro or LE. They're well worth the $30.
