DPP 2.1 is available

Just now discovered DPP 2.1 available for download from Canon here. From this page go to "Drivers/Software".

First impressions anyone?

Re: DPP 2.1 is available

I like that I can disable the noise reduction. Not sure whether the 16 bit TIFF files for the 5D are truly 16 bits now (it was announced that they would be). They still look a little "toothy" to me. Has anyone tested?

Re: DPP 2.1 is available

The noise reduction looks like a nice addition. I just tried it on a portrait (on the 'high' setting for both luminance and chroma) and it looks very natural. It even seems to take a bit of the 'jagginess' out of the hair.

I like it.

Re: DPP 2.1 is available

I tried an install over 2.0.3.....still crashing.
Went back to 1.1......new download of DPP 2.1....still crashes.
This all on a DP G5 2.0 that ran 2.0.3 just fine.
It's fine on my iBook though.
Pete
