| Thumbnails/indices from EOS-1D RAW files? I'm trying to create contact sheets from my EOS-1D RAW files (on a Mac) and wondering how others are doing this. I tried the File Viewer Utility "Save index..." option, and it has to decode each RAW file, in addition to wasting space for displaying image timestamp and unnecessary white borders. With GraphicConverter, I can put 42 images in an 8x10 page to get decent proofs, but GC needs JPG's to start.
Is there any better program for creating indices from RAW files, or a way to extract the thumbnails which are contained in the RAW files to JPG's so that I can use them for GC indices? There would be other productive uses for these quick-and-dirty previews as well.
I haven't examined all of the options of iView MediaPro yet, so perhaps it will do what I want, but I'd like to hear what others are doing.
Thanks,
-Patrick
