Help with Canon RIC

Hello, I'm new to posting here but have been enjoying this forum for almost a year, Most questions can be answered with a simple seach but I guess this is too basic. Ok, I give up, recently tried adding RAW conversion to my D30, Mac OS9 workflow. As I understand you can bump your exposure up or down as you convert from RAW. Using the latest RIC from Canon, I found options for white balance, sharpness, contrast and saturation but not exposure. Am I missing something?

Make sure you are viewing the RAW format and not both RAW+JPG option. The exp. will not be available unless only RAW is selected.

Don,

I don't think exposure compensation during conversion is available on the D30. You'll have to do it in Photoshop.

Re: Help with Canon RIC

Hey, thanks to all for the quick replies. I am aftraid you may be right about the D30. I did not even find a place to choose RAW or RAW+jpg. I think I may test a linear tiff conversion and see if I can hold some detail that way.

Don,

If you are going to try linear, take a look at this:

which is my version of this http://photography-on-the.net/D30/linear/
