Epson 3800 and Epson premium glossy

My Epson makes very good prints, but..................... I want a glossy that has no dull spots at all. Is there a substitute paper that will give this result? If not, is there a spray that someone uses that gives this desired result?

If spray is recommended, detailed method of use? Drying time?

Two things to consider:
1) If semi-gloss—as opposed to high gloss—is sufficient, you might try some of the new baryta-type papers, such as Epson Exhibition Fiber and Ilford Gold Fiber Silk.
2) If you want to produce a lot of high gloss photos, you might take a look at the Epson R1900 as a dedicated solution; it can lay down a coat of gloss over your entire photo.

Re: Epson 3800 and Epson premium glossy

I am going to try the Epson exhibition paper for wildlife prints. I prefer the increased definition afforded by the glossys for flower images though. If I hold the glossy produced by the Epson paper up to a strong light, dull areas can be clearly seen.

An Epson R1900 is in my future for sure, but it only goes up to 13 X 19. I guess I would have to settle for 11 X 14 matted to 8.5 X 11. I don't think the 13 X 19 is the correct aspect ratio to get a standard matted image from?

Anyone tried the sprays? Larger images are not selling as well as the smaller ones, so would not need to spray that many? Anyone have experience?
