Leopard & Epson R2400

Has anyone had any success getting these two to work together ?

I know that Epson haven't released the Leopard R2400 driver yet (according to the UK site) but there seems to be a number of references online to people having got them working together satisfactorily.

Prints come out washed out as if completely the wrong profile is being used (this is printing from Lightroom and CS3).

Anyone got any news or is it simply the case of waiting for the revised driver ?

Thanks

Dave

You're going to have to wait on new drivers.

I have them for my 3800, that fixed the issues of light printing.

Re: Leopard & Epson R2400

I have PS CS3 and a new Epson R2400. I am running a MacBook Pro, but the printer is hooked up to a Windows PC. So, I am accessing my printer through a network connection . I installed the Epson on the Windows PC. I also ran the install from the Epson CD on my Mac. I downloaded the new Epson R2400 driver for Leopard and installed it on my Mac.

I am confused. Should the Print driver be installed on the Windows PC or the Mac where I run my Photoshop? It is frustrating, when other Windows users on the network who don't use PS, print fine to the printer. I print through PS CS3 and get washed out pictures.

And lastly, I am having a print server installed on Monday, so I can retire the PC that is currently serving as my print server. Maybe, this should be the setup to which the responses are directed. My network is made up of PCs and my my MacBook Pro. The Epson R2400 will be running off the print server. What are the steps necessary for me to get into this setup, first on my Mac and then on the Windows PCs (one runs photoshop, the others don't)? I have the Epson installation CD and I downloaded the drivers for my Mac.

I know this is a very involved question, but I want to give the tech guy setting up the printers the right instructions. I have had the printer about a month now and haven't focused on using it, as my switch from Windows to Mac has had me occupied with other issues. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
